Non-Licensed Staff

Although they are not licensed funeral directors, these staff members are vitally important to the operation of our firm.  These individuals make it possible for us to professionally coordinate funerals with the quality of service our community has come to expect from us.

Anthony Villanueva, Administrative Support Staff Email: Tony@luzdepaz.com Office Phone: (203) 330-8081 Fax: (203) 330-8082 Anthony "Tony" joined the Funeraria Luz de Paz in April of 2010.  Since the beginning he has demonstrated his ability of being extremely attentive to details, caring, compassionate and always wiling to go above and beyond for the families we serve.   Tony is currently enrolled in studies progressing towards his degree where he will then become a licensed director within the State of Connecticut. We look forward to that moment and know our families will be blessed by having Tony assist them as a director, but until then in his current position he will do what he can to assist in whatever way necessary.

Luis A. Colon, Administrative Support Staff Email: luisct4@me.com Office Phone: (203) 330-8081 Fax: (203) 330-8082 Luis has been with us since 2006. A very quiet man, but one we can count on at anytime day or night.  Luis has been an asset with our company since day one and we appreciate his willingness to be there 24/7. He usually tends our Parking lot during services to make sure that if parking is available the attendees are able to park and exit in a comfortable fashion.  if you approach him with a question, he will immediately seek the answer for you. Again, although quiet, don't let his quiet demeanor fool you into believing the he can't get the answer for your question or a solution to your problem. We appreciate him and know that along with the rest of our staff he will do whatever he can to make things happen for you.

Carlos Bayon, Administrative Support Staff Office Phone: (203) 330-8081 Fax: (203) 330-8082 Carlos has been with us full time at almost every service since he retired from Sikorsky Aircraft  since 2009.  Although he has been around our firm since its beginning in 1997.  Carlos is a caring wonderful man who is caring, attentive and always willing to lend a hand. Whatever we need, Carlos is willing to help. He is present at almost every service we conduct tending to the families and or attendees within the facility or wherever the services are conducted. When you see Carlos, feel free to ask him anything, if he doesn't know the answer he will help you find the answer. His disposition to help is beyond compare. We appreciate Carlos not only for what he does, buy yet because of who he is.... a wonderful human being and second father to the owner Edgar Rodriguez.

Haydee Bayon, Administrative Support Staff Office Phone: (203) 330-8081 Fax: (203) 330-8082 Haydee has been with our funeral home since 2003 faithfully.  She tends every person and or family that comes through our doors during calling hours.  Haydee has a quiet, yet peaceful demeanor always willing to help and / or direct you to wherever and or whatever you need. Haydee is a Gem and someone who we have considered an asset to our firm since day 1. We appreciate Haydee and her willingness to care for our families and attendees and even at times helping Minerva and Cheny as to the cleanliness of our facility.

She is a woman filled with an amazing disposition to overcome obstacles and making things happen. Nothing is impossible for her, just ask her! Mirta lives her life tending to needs of people, helping anyone who comes her way, in her church, in her private life, in her day job, basically anywhere she can. During calling hours and at times during the funeral service she will tend to the needs and questions of attendees and families we are serving. She always goes above and beyond to make sure a family is served with dignity, respect,  professionalism &  the compassion they deserve. A woman with a determined disposition never afraid of a challenge, yet simply a woman who lives her life serving others. In conclusion, a woman proud to be the mother of the owner, Edgar Rodriguez.

Ray Majsa, Hearse Driver Ray has been with our funeral home since its beginning. He is the driver of our hearse and serves our families during funeral services. Whether he is handing out funeral stickers, picking flowers, handing out flowers at the cemetery or simply driving, he does his best to make sure things are done as best they can for the comfort and convenience of everyone who is present at a service we are conducting. Ray is someone who we appreciate and has become family to us here at  the Funeraria Luz de Paz.

Orlando Rodriguez Sr., Administrative Support Staff Orlando has been with our funeral home since 1997.  Orlando is a very quiet, humble man but with a heart of Gold always willing to help anyone who comes his way. Orlando usually tends to the parking lot during services and together with Luis A. Colon they make sure parking is as available as it can be for any attendees to a service at our facility. Orlando also tends to the maintenance needs of our firm and makes sure that whatever needs immediate attention he is always a phone call away. He never says he cant. He is a wonderful man and if approached always has the disposition to assist in whatever way possible. In conclusion a man who the owner, Edgar Rodriguez, calls his father, because he is.

Zenaida Puerta, Administrative Support Staff Office Phone: (203) 330-8081 Fax: (203) 330-8082 Zenaida who we graciously call Cheny has been part of our firm since 2005.  She is a wonderful woman with a heart of Gold, caring, compassionate and attentive to anyone in need who surrounds her. Cheny along with Minerva also tends to the Cleaning Maintenance of our facility and we are constantly told of the impeccalble cleanliness of our facility and along with Minerva, Cheny is an integral part of making that happen. We appreciate Cheny and consider her an important part of our firm. Sometimes Cheny will assist in the Parking Lot making sure an attendee to a service we are conducting can park if possible in our parking lot and or direct them if necessary to satisfy any parking needs or answer any question necessary.   When you see Cheny, speaking to her you will see the amazing human being  she is and why we consider her a blessing to our firm.

Minerva Tomassini, Administrative Support Staff Office Phone: (203) 330-8081 Fax: (203) 330-8082 Minerva Tomassini has been employed with our firm for since 2005 and is an indispensible asset to our firm. Minerva is usually at the front door as you enter our firm greeting each person as they come in.  She is always attentive to the needs of the families during the services and everyone who is in attendance at service conducted by our firm. There is no task Minerva is not willing to take and achieve success at.  Anytime she is asked anything from anyone, she is always willing to answer or find out the answer for them. Minerva also tends to the cleaning maintenance of our facility and we continuously are told from the families we serve of the impeccable cleanliness of our facility. We have Minerva and Cheny to thank for such a great job at keeping our facilities exemplary. If you see Minerva as you come into our facility, feel free to approach her, you will then see the compassionate, caring, and wonderful person she is. Again, someone who we consider indispensable.
