Carmen Torres

Carmen J. Torres, age 82, entered into Eternal Rest on Monday, Dec. 16, 2019 at Talmadge Park in East Haven. She was the beloved wife of Jesus M. Torres. Carmen was born in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico; prior to relocating to the Connecticut area many years ago. Carmen loved singing and especially loved animals. She would often feed, and adopt neighborhood stray animals; letting them take refuge in her home. Carmen also served as a second mother to many nieces, nephews and friend throughout her life. She is the loving mother of Monica (Steven) Perry and the grandmother of Jillian A. Perry and Michael D. Perry. She is also survived by many other family members and friends that will sorely miss her. Friends and family are invited to attend Calling Hours on Friday, Dec. 20, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz (Peaceful Light Funeral Home ) 426 E. Washington Ave. Bridgeport, CT 06608. Her interment will follow at Park Cemetery, 620 Lindley St. Bridgeport, CT 06606.
