Emily Murphy

Emily Murphy, age 66 of Bridgeport, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at CT Hospice, Branford. She was the beloved fiancé of Christopher Kokolakis; her partner of over 30 years. Emily was born in Bridgeport, daughter of Louis Sorrentino and Emily DeVito. She is the loving mother of Robert Murphy, Daniel Murphy, and Kristy Kokolakis; the caring stepmother of Mona Biondi and Tina Brown; the adoring grandmother of 9; and the dear sister of Anthony Sorrentino, Joseph Sorrentino, Louis Sorrentino and Marie DeNigris. She was predeceased by her stepdaughter Kerry Pedraza and sister Gwendolyn Garrison. Friends are invited to call on Saturday, June 28, from 7 - 9 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz (Peaceful Light Funeral Home,) 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT 06608.
