Francisca Rovira

Francisca Rovira, Age 71, beloved wife of the late Richard Rovira has entered into the peaceful rest of the lord on Sunday, October 14, 2018 in Bridgeport Hospital. Francisca was born in Aguada, Puerto Rico but had relocated to the Bridgeport area many years ago. She is the daughter of the late Julio R. Lopez, Sr. and the late Rosa Lopez. Francisca was employed for some time at the St. Vincent's Special Needs Center where she enjoyed creating recreational activities for the residents - a position she truly enjoyed. She is loving mother of Nanette (Scott) Wilson, Shirley (Edward) Santiago, Debra Rovira, and Rosalynn (Lonnie) Blackwell; the sister of Julio Lopez; and the caring grandmother of Jacquelynn Wilson, Samantha Wilson, Edward Santiago, Jr., Ethan Santiago, Natalie Rivera, Justin Rivera, Lonnie I. Blackwell and Isabela Blackwell; and a host of other relatives and friends whom will dearly miss her. She was predeceased by her sister, the late Lourdes Lopez. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, October 18, 2018 beginning at 11:00 A.M. Followed by a funeral service at 12:30 P.M. all will be held at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, (Families first at Luz de Paz), 426 East Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT. Her interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery,2205 Stratford Ave., Stratford, CT.
