Gilberto Seda

Gilberto Seda, age 83, of Bridgeport has entered the peaceful rest of the Lord on June 26, 2021 in the Mayaguez Medical Center Mayaguez, Puerto Rico. He is the son of the late Monserrate Seda and Juana Colon. He relocated to the United States sometime ago and has resided in the Bridgeport area where he met his beloved wife Petra Seda. Gilberto was a man who love the Lord and would go to different churches in many different places where he would sing praises to the Lord and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. His most joyful times were when he was granted the opportunity to minister. He loved his family and upon marrying his beloved Petra he welcomed a new group of people he came to love and appreciate. Gilberto was a man with a very vibrant and joyful spirit who appreciated the simplest of things, yet cherished the things given to him by his faith. Until the day where God’s Promises come to be, may you rest in God’s everlasting peace. Besides his wife Petra, Gilberto is survived by his children, Gilbert Seda, Marcus Seda, Ruthy Diaz, Josuf Seda, Jennifer Seda, Gilberto Seda and Wilfredo Seda. His children gained through marriage with Petra, Angel and Dimaris Garcia , Manuel and Milagro Garcia, Pedro and Nayda Garcia, Monserrate Morales, Merixsa and Bruce Johnson & Rebecca Garcia; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends who will sorely miss him. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, July 8, 2021 from 5:30 until 8:00 PM at the Funeraria Luz de Paz 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT 06608. Funeral services have been scheduled for Friday, July 9, 2021 beginning at 10:00 AM at the funeral home followed by a Funeral Service inside the funeral home at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow soon there after in Lakeview Cemetery, 885 Boston Ave., Bridgeport, CT.
