Jimmy Gutierrez

May 28, 1975 — July 8, 2020

Jimmy Gutierrez, age 45, of Bridgeport has passed away into eternal rest on July 9, 2020 in Ansonia, Connecticut; Jimmy was born in Waterbury, CT, then moved to Bridgeport where he resided for some time and then most recently to Ansonia. A joyful guy full of life, loved to be with his family, spending quality time. Everyone knew his sense of humor was great and was a joker. He enjoyed being at every party or family gathering. His personality was contagious and his heart was golden. There was nothing he wouldn't do to provide for his family and give them everything he could and more. You could visibly see the glow in his eyes & in his heart as he would stand next to his kids as they excelled in life at different stages and even more as his eldest became an alumni of UCONN! Jimmy struggled the past few years after an unfortunate incident at work, but that never discouraged him from moving on, trying & doing whatever he needed not to miss a beat! He is the beloved son of the late Jimmy Gutierrez Jr. and Minerva Rosa currently residing in the Sunshine State! He was a person who everyone noticed as being very simple and quiet until you got to know him and then you knew you had met one of the greatest guys ever! He will be sadly missed by all! Besides his mother, Jimmy is survived by his daughters Nayja Gutierrez and Shiloh Gutierrez; his son Timothy Gutierrez, His sister Diana Gutierrez; brothers Miguel Fuster and David Paneto, and many other relatives and friends whom although grief stricken by the sudden passing, they know God embraced his arrival in the heavens above. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, July 17, 2020 from 10:00 A.M. until 1:30 P.M.at the Funeraria Luz de Paz (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), where a funeral service will begin at approx 12:45 prior to departure to the Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield, CT where he will be laid to rest.; Please sign and share the online memorial webpage established for Jimmy where you may share stories of moments you shared with him, pictures, thoughts, prayers, pictures and so much more, but is EXCLUSIVELY found at www.Luzdepaz.com. *Please note: our goal is to get things done right the first time, but humans are ultimately at the wheel, prone to making a mistake here and there, therefore if you notice a misprint or typo, do not hesitate in reaching out to us and we will be sure to confirm with the next of kin for accuracy and implement any changes immediately after recieving such confirmation. We thank you in advance for your concerns. PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION REGARDING RESTRICTIONS due to COVID 19 The Covid-19 Virus, the rules, regulations, limitations, and everything that has been stated by the government health officials has been challenging for all and funeral homes are not exempt from such plentiful rules and regulations. We just want everyone to keep in mind, thus regulations and rules are made for the GENERAL well being and health of the public. Please be advised that during the current phase of the COVID-19 Pandemic, as our State once again moves on to open and return back to normal implementing each phase, the current guidelines have determined that during viewing and visitation, and Funeral Services, 49 persons or less would be the amount of persons permitted inside the funeral home at one given time in order for the 6 ft social distancing requirements required is able to be applied. Such number is determined by the measurements of the square footage of the facility divided by 36, then divided by 4 which would equal the number of persons permitted. Therefore, we have determined that the back door of the funeral home will be EXCLUSIVE ENTRANCE AND EXIT utilized as a form of crowd control and be able to confirm the amount of persons inside at all times. All done to prevent going over such number inside the facility at one given time, thus preserving and permitting the safe, non threatening atmosphere each person should enjoy during the current times. Please know that although we always welcome visitors during services, please consider these restrictions that have been implemented to protect the health and wellbeing of all parties present including funeral home staff alike. We are aware of some entities whom are admitting 100 persons in the facilities where people are congregating including but not limited to Funeral Home, churches, clubs, etc.& some with less square footage in the gathering location, BUT BE ADVISED such admittance of that many persons in such a space is erroneously understood under the law that was stated during the current phase we are in of reopening in our state. We have made sure we have interpreted the law correctly because your health, your wellbeing is not negotiable for us during your time in our home. We understand the importance of showing support and above all our appreciation to someone who meant so much, but we encourage those that can be able to consider the family who is also grieving and join us via Zoom vs. in person, as the family will always be aware of those online with the screen visible to see those online, but having a line of persons outside will create many family members to move away from the place they want to be, Inside the funeral home with their loved one) to grant others the opportunity to come inside as they step outside. therefore please consider such alternative vs. the removal of family members from the chapel to grant access to others as the number of attendees inside the funeral home is strictly adhered to, without exception of person, or disability as these regulations are set forth for the GENERAL Health and well being of the GENERAL Public, therefore, these things are not optional. Finally, for those whom do arrive, please be advised, without exception, MASKS MUST BE WORN TO ENTER AND DURING THE ENTIRE TIME ANYONE IS INSIDE THE FACILITY. It is a law and therefore anyone within the City of Bridgeport outside their home MUST wear a Mask in any public setting and Funeral homes and services is considered a public setting....
