Pedro Hernandez

Pedro Hernandez, age 88, of Bridgeport has passed away on April 20, 2020 in Bridgeport Hospital. Pedro was born in Las Piedras, Puerto Rico to the late Domingo Algarin and the late Bienvenida Hernandez before relocating to the Bridgeport area at an early age. Pedro had been employed at local factories where he was employed for many years; Pedro was committed to being not only an exemplary employee but also and overall special human being; because of his contagious personality Pedro would become part of the family to many and as Pedro grew older his independence was something his friends became concerned over; it was then he came to his new home where the arms of his friend, who he considered like a daughter, Ivette Izquierdo and her husband were there to receive him with open arms. Pedro had a heart of Gold and without a doubt he will be sadly missed by all but we trust now he is in the loving care of Jehovah God. Besides Yvette and her husband, Pedro is survived by his two daughters and other relatives and friends ; A burial will take place on Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at the Lakeview Cemetery, 885 Boston Avenue, Bridgeport, CT; Gathering of vehicles will begin at approx 12:30 - 12:45 at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 E. Washington Avenue, Bridgeport and proceed directly to the cemetery at 1:00 P.M. Due to the limits placed at the cemetery as to Social Distance and amount of persons whom may be at the gravesite, it is encouraged to join us for a live broadcast of the final committal ceremony where you may see, listen and even virtually attend his committal service from the comfort of your home, vehicle or wherever you may be.
