Venancio R. Berrios

Venancio Berrios, age 80 of Bridgeport, entered into eternal rest on Friday November 20, 2015 at Ludlowe Health and Rehabilitation Center, Fairfield. He was the beloved husband of Maria (Guzman) Berrios. Venancio was born in Corozal, Puerto Rico; son of the late Francisco Berrios and Matilde Rios prior to relocating to the Bridgeport area many years ago. He was employed for 33 years as a machine operator for Bridgeport Metal Goods and was a loving and dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. He is the loving father of Sandra Marrero, Maria Reyes, Julie Hanks, Miriam Berrios, Johnny Berrios, Arilin Berrios, Venito Berrios, Michelle Berrios, Jamie Vega, Hipolito Vega, Maria Cruz, and Evelyn Albino; and the caring grandfather of 20 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He is also survived by many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that will sorely miss him. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, November 24 from 11 a.m. to 12:40 p.m. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT 06608. A Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's Church, Bridgeport starting at 1 p.m. His interment will follow at Park Cemetery, Bridgeport.
