Adela DeJesus, a beloved member of the community, passed away on October 7, 2023, in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Adela was born on December 16, 1947, in Camuy, Puerto Rico. She was the child of Teodocio Morales Velaquez and Fidela Bidot Crespo.

At a young age, Adela came to Bridgeport with her family and quickly became known for her kind and welcoming nature. She had a remarkable ability to make others feel at ease and was always ready with a warm smile and comforting words.

Adela dedicated many years of her life working as a maintenance worker in a law office. Her diligent work ethic and attention to detail were highly regarded by her colleagues. Adela took great pride in her profession and carried out her duties with dedication and excellence.

Outside of work, Adela had a wide range of hobbies and interests that brought her immense joy. She found solace in gardening and took pleasure in cultivating beautiful plants and flowers. On her downtime Adela enjoyed doing wordsearches. Her green thumb was admired by all who visited her garden. Additionally, she had a passion for cleanliness and took pride in maintaining a tidy home. Adela's love for music filled her days as he appreciated its ability to uplift spirits. She also enjoyed shopping for beautiful items, always seeking out unique pieces that caught her eye. Moreover, Adela was renowned for being an exceptional cook, delighting family and friends with delicious meals crafted from the heart.

Adela will be deeply missed by all who had the fortune of knowing her. Her warm presence brought comfort to countless individuals throughout her lifetime. Her leaves behind cherished memories that will forever be etched in the hearts of those who loved her.

Adela is survived by her loving daughter Evalis Vazquez, son Luis A. DeJesus, son Sigfredo "Cocho" DeJesus, sister Luz Miriam Morales Bidot, sister Andrea Morales Bidot, sister Maria Morales Bidot, and brother Francisco Morales Bidot. She was also a devoted grandmother to eight grandchildren and a proud great-grandmother to ten great-grandchildren.

To honor Adela's life, visitation services will be held on October 12, 2023, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Funeraria Luz De Paz located at 426 E. Washington Ave, Bridgeport, CT 06608. The funeral service will take place on October 13, 2023, starting at 10:00 am at the same location. Following the funeral service, Adela will be laid to rest at Mt. Grove Easton Cemetery in Easton, CT. The burial ceremony will commence at 11:30 am.

During this time of mourning, let us remember Adela DeJesus for her kind heart and unwavering love for her family and friends. Her memory will forever inspire us to be compassionate and welcoming towards others. May her rest in eternal peace.
