Adrian Lopez

October 3, 1999 — January 1, 2023

Bridgeport

Adrian Lopez, 23, was tragically taken on January 1, 2023, in Hamden, CT. He was born on October 3, 1999, in Bridgeport Hospital in Bridgeport, CT to Dania Lopez and Terrence Clark both of Bridgeport, CT. Adrian, also known as “AD” to his family and friends was a genuine, humble and funny young man who loved to crack a joke and laugh whenever he could. AD’s smile was gigantic and contagious, it will never be forgotten in the minds and hearts of those that love him. He was quiet but observant and he was always the best dressed in the room. Adrian never raised his voice unless it was a debate about basketball.

Even though Adrian was his mother's only child, AD grew up in a big family with aunts, uncles and cousins all brought up together. AD took pride in making sure his mother was well taken care of. Adrian was raised in Bridgeport’s Marina Village, where he developed an affinity for the game of basketball at a young age, the court became his passion.

After attending Roosevelt School where he developed many friendships, he went on to Bassick High School where he played varsity basketball wearing the number 2 and 4 in honor of his favorite player Kobe Bryant. During his time at Bassick he helped the team win the CSC Championship in 2017 and he grew lifelong bonds with many friends, coaches and teachers. AD went on to take his talent to MassBay College where he played basketball for 2 years as well. AD would still gather friends to join him at the Boys and Girls Club or the park for basketball whenever he had free time. If you were lucky enough to know him, you know that Adrian’s smile and laugh will burn brightly in the hearts of everyone that he graced with his presence and he will be sorely missed forever.

Adrian is survived by his mother Dania Lopez; his father Terrance Clark; his aunts Maria Delgado, Evelyn Rodriguez, Gladys Sirignano, Carmen Lopez; uncles Luis and Miguel Lopez; stepsisters Michele and Alexis Jackson; a stepbrother Terrance Clark Jr and a host of many aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, teammates, coaches and friends that will forever be heartbroken and miss him dearly.
