Alejandro Ramos Garcia, a cherished husband, father, brother, and friend, departed this world on April 21, 2025, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, where he had made his home. Born on June 11, 1945, on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico in the quaint town of San Lorenzo. Alejandro was the son of the late Pedro Ramos and Felicita Garcia. Alejandro lived a life that was a testament to kindness, humility, and unwavering faith.
Throughout his life, Alejandro devoted himself to his career in construction work, where he not only honed his craft but also built lasting relationships founded on respect and acceptance. He was a man truly of the earth, a beacon of light to all who knew him. Alejandro carried his devout faith in Jesus at the center of his life, often reminding those around him with heartfelt words: “Jesus loves you” and “You need Jesus.” His genuine kindness and acceptance of people from all walks of life were among his proudest accomplishments, carving a legacy that will be fondly remembered by many.
Alejandro had an infectious enthusiasm for life, and his love for sports brought joy not only to himself but also to those who shared in these interests with him. A devoted fan of the Atlanta Braves, he would cheer for his team with passion. His admiration for boxing, especially for legends like Trinidad and Cotto, added another layer of excitement to his life. He found happiness in the thrilling moments of UCONN Women's Basketball and cherished his peaceful strolls around the park, where he found solace in nature.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Elizabeth Rosario Ramos, and their children, who were the pride of his life: Xiomara Alves (Uriam), Gamalier Ramos, Brenda Ramos, Samuel Ramos, and Josue Ramos. Each of them carries forward his legacy of love, acceptance, and faith. Alejandro was also a dear brother to Clara Ramos who will deeply feel the void left by his passing.
Friends and family are invited to gather to honor Alejandro's memory during the viewing held at Funeraria Luz De Paz, located at 426 E. Washington Ave, Bridgeport, CT 06608, on May 2, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at Mt. Grove Cemetery. As we reflect on Alejandro Ramos Garcia’s extraordinary life, we remember a man who was not only a source of strength and kindness but also a living embodiment of love and devotion. His spirit will remain in the hearts of those he loved, and his cherished memories will resonate in the stories shared for generations to come.
