Bridgeport

With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Alexis Delgado Jr. on June 14, 2025, at his residence in Bridgeport, CT. Born on December 7, 1984, in Bridgeport, Alexis was a devoted postal worker for the United States Postal Service, where his dedication and punctuality were as notable as his lovingly grumpy demeanor.

Alexis was more than just a hard worker; he was a loving father and grandfather whose playful spirit brought joy to countless family gatherings. His commitment to being consistently present and on time—especially at Sunday dinners—was a testament to his strong family values. Those who gathered around the table with him will fondly remember his unique brand of chronic complaining, which only served to highlight his endearing personality.

As a sports enthusiast, Alexis was a loyal fan of both the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Yankees, often engaging in spirited discussions about their performances. He was also a very skilled video gamer, finding joy and challenge in virtual worlds, which allowed him to connect with friends and family alike.

Alexis is survived by his beloved daughter, Nina Delgado, and his cherished mother, Brenda Clements,(Derrick) as well as his father, Alexis Delgado Sr.,(Jackie), and bonus father Gregory Coley, who will carry forward his legacy of love. He also leaves behind a granddaughter, Yanalyse Bristol, and eagerly awaited the arrival of his grandson. His siblings include Veronica Carrasquillo, Pernell Carrasquillo( Allison), Alexavier Delgado, Joshua Delgado, Isaiah Delgado, Caleb Delgado, Alesia Coley, and Darrae Coley. Along with many nieces and a nephew who adored him. His uncles and aunt who loved him. His grandparents—Milagros Perez, Claudina Rosario, and William Cardona—among many cousins who were cherished like siblings, also mourn his loss.

Alexis’s unexpected departure has left a void in the hearts of those who loved him most. A viewing will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Funeraria Luz De Paz, located at 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT.
