Alfredo Morales, 81, of Hamden, died peacefully on Saturday August 16, 2025, surrounded by those he loved at home. Alfredo was born in Vega Alta, Puerto Rico. The son of Estaban and Angelina Morales. Alfredo was married to Marina Agosto Morales for 62 years until his passing.

Alfredo moved to Connecticut in 1967 seeking better opportunities for his family. He worked diligently to ensure his family’s needs were always met. He instilled a strong work ethic in his children and subsequent generations. Providing the foundational base for his family’s successes.  He was a passionate participant in his Christian faith and served as an active member for many years.

Alfredo really enjoyed time with his family and socializing. He took great joy in the simple pleasures that the good Lord provided. He truly appreciated God’s wonders, on his frequent walks. He was a practical joker with good sense of humor and loved to play card games and dominoes with the family. He always greeted strangers with a “God bless you” and “have a nice day”.

During their retirement, Alfredo and Marina spent quality time together praying and praising the Lord. They also enjoyed their time together watching their favorite shows and following their MLB sports teams.

The most important things in his life were his faith, family, and friendships. He was a good loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, friend and human. Alfredo will be missed immensely.

Alfredo left us to join his beloved mother, whom he lost when he was a child, father and his son Luis Morales. He temporarily leaves behind his loving wife Marina Morales, three children, Norma Matos, Wilfredo Morales, Matilde Marcano and his grandchildren Kristen Marcano, Diana Marcano, David Morales, Emmanuel Morales, and Gabriel Morales. As well as his in-laws whom he loved as his own, Edwin Marcano, Rhonda Morales, Cesar Matos and Angelique Morales.

Alfredo's family will be celebrating his return home at a private gravesite service and internment.
