Beyond her profession, she was known as a joyous, dedicated, loyal, charismatic, and pious woman whose presence brought warmth to those around her. Above all else, she loved caring for her family, who were always her main priority.
She found great happiness in celebrating traditional holidays, creating treasured occasions that gathered her entire family together. She served as a eucharistic minister and praised the Lord with her voice in the choir, offering her time, her spirit, and her devotion in faithful service to her church community.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Claudio Nieves, and by her daughters, Yolanda Nieves and Niana M. Nieves and her husband, Najmul Sumra. Her love continues through her grandchildren, Anisa Taliercio, Amar Sumra, Bryana Soto, Layla Soto and great granddaughter Felina Taliercio, each of whom held a special place in her heart. May their memories of her love, strength, and joyful spirit bring them comfort in the days ahead.
She was preceded in death by her father, Aurelio Maya, her mother, Maria Mercado Ayala Maya, and brother Aurelio Soler Jr. whose memory remained part of her life’s story.
