Born on November 2, 1944, in Corozal, Puerto Rico, Ana became a cherished figure in her community, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, generosity, and unwavering support for those around her.
As a cafeteria aide for the Bridgeport Public School System, her vibrant personality and great sense of humor made her not only a favorite among the children but also among her colleagues. Ana's home was always open to all, a sanctuary where friends and family could gather, and she readily fed anyone who came through her door. She delighted in hosting parties, embodying the spirit of hospitality and care.
Ana was known for her nurturing nature, kindness, and laughter. She was a proud member of the multiple domino clubs including the CT Dream and Las Nenas De Bridgeport. As an active participant at the Eisenhower Senior Center, where she joyfully served as the Bingo Caller, Ana's enthusiasm for life was infectious. Her competitive spirit stretched back to her younger years when she played softball, showcasing her drive and dedication to every endeavor. As an avid lover of games, such as dominoes and board games, Ana enjoyed always winning against her friends and family. Her love for the casino was well known, with her having many great memories there.
Her proudest accomplishments extended beyond her hobbies; Ana was a humble server of the community who often provided interpretive services to those in need and willingly took on the role of a community liaison, helping others navigate their challenges. She touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting impression and connecting with those who crossed her path, creating inside jokes or special nicknames.
She leaves behind her children: Ruth M. Rodriguez, Juan A. Collado, Luz L. Collado, Elizabeth White (Mark), Christina Santiago Norris (Phillip Jr), and bonus daughter Jacqueline Claxton (Bruce), her grandchildren: Shayquan, Anthony, Rashad, Joseph, Ellis, Ethan, Melina, Myles, and Josiah, and her great grandchildren Li'Ani, Esme, and Alessio.
