It is with both heavy hearts and joyful memories that we celebrate the life of Ana Delia Rodriguez, who was born on October 15, 1944, in the vibrant town of Mayaguez, Puerto Rico. Ana gracefully transitioned to her eternal rest on May 18, 2026, in Trumbull, Connecticut.
Ana was a beacon of warmth and love, illuminating the lives of everyone she encountered. Despite her academic journey ending at the 8th grade, she was a lifelong learner who embraced the world with open arms and a heart full of kindness. Ana's spirit was infectious, bringing laughter and joy to family gatherings, where her signature dishes were always the highlight. She was a very talented and creative spirit who decorated all environments with floral arrangements, knitting beautiful items that are now treasured memories. Her talents also were seen in the kitchen as she lovingly prepared traditional Puerto Rican dishes for the priests at her church. Although her financial resources were limited she always managed to have gifts for all those whom she loved.
Ana is survived by her beloved son, James Bencosme, her precious granddaughters Yasmin and Ayanna and her cherished sisters, Gladys Mercado and Miriam Pagan, as well as a multitude of friends and family who will carry forward her legacy of love and resilience. Her unwavering spirit and nurturing nature left a profound impact on all who had the honor of knowing her.
