Angel Miguel Gonzalez

Angel Miguel Gonzalez, a beloved truck driver known for his soft-spoken nature, caring demeanor, and sense of humor, sadly passed away at the age of 83.  He was a devoted family man and had an unwavering love for Latin jazz.

Angel was born on December 11, 1940, in Ponce, Puerto Rico. Throughout his life, he always remained close to his roots and cherished his Puerto Rican heritage. He faced many challenges in his journey but overcame them with resilience and determination.

His career as a truck driver allowed him to explore different places and fulfill his love for traveling. Angel enjoyed being on the road, experiencing new adventures wherever he went. He found solace in the open highways and relished the freedom that driving provided him.

When he wasn't behind the wheel, Angel had numerous hobbies that brought him joy. He was an avid boxing and baseball enthusiast, rooting passionately for his favorite team, the Mets. Spending time at home with his family brought him immense happiness. He cherished moments of togetherness and valued creating lasting memories with his loved ones.

One could always find Angel immersed in the rhythms of salsa music. The lively tunes would fill his home as he danced along or simply sat back and allowed himself to be carried away by the vibrant melodies. His love for Latin music was infectious and touched the hearts of everyone around him.

Angel's dedication to his role as a husband, father, grandfather, and brother was unwavering. His family meant everything to him, and their happiness was always at the forefront of his mind. He leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will continue to inspire generations to come.

He is survived by his wife Maria, two sons Miguel Angel and Raymond Anthony and daughter Maryann Vargas. His grandchildren Brian, Brett, Tyler, Michael, Angel, Mason and Ava Gonzalez. Angel is also survived by his brothers Jose, Robert and Hector and was preceded in death by his father Francisco Gonzalez and mother Eloisa Arroyo.

A visitation service will be held in Angel's honor on December 16, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Funeraria Luz De Paz located at 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT 06608. It will be a time for family and friends to come together to remember and celebrate the life of this remarkable man.

Angel Miguel Gonzalez will always be remembered as a caring soul who filled every room he entered with laughter and love. He touched the lives of countless people through his kindness, and his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. And as he would always say “let's see what happens”.  May his soul rest in eternal peace.
