Angel L Quiles

Angel L. Quiles, age 82, passed away unexpectedly on February 7, 2024, at his home in North Haven, CT. Born on October 28, 1941, in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico, Angel lived a remarkable life filled with love, joy, and meaningful connections.  He relocated to the mainland United States at the age of 18, where he then relocated to the Bridgeport Area and resided most of his life.  Ultimately in the past few years, he resided in North Haven with his family, but his heart and mind were always in Bridgeport and the memories he had there.  Angel was known for his genuine selflessness and willingness to help others, and his kind-hearted nature. He touched the lives of many through his warm and outgoing personality and his unwavering love for his family and friends. He found immense joy in spending time with his grandchildren, who were truly the light of his eyes. Watching him interact with them was a sight to behold - it was evident that they brought immeasurable happiness to his life.

Angel enjoyed a good trip anywhere the road led. No matter where he went, he carried with him a Latin melody that resonated with his spirit and he made sure his family were on board, of course. Family gatherings were always eagerly anticipated by Angel. He looked forward to being surrounded by loved ones and relishing in their company. Eating out with family was another treasured activity that brought him immense pleasure. Those moments shared around the table created lasting memories that will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of experiencing them alongside him.

He is survived by his daughter Nereida Martinez and her husband Michael who Angel loved like a son. Their unwavering support and love provided immeasurable comfort to him.  His grandchildren Destiny Ramos as well as Mariah Martinez and Michael J. Martinez Jr.. and great grandson Amiris Jiménez,  Additionally, he is survived by Julio Galarza, his beloved brother who shared countless treasured memories with Angel throughout their lives.

Angel was preceded in death by his parents, the late Ricardo Quiles and the late Providencia Soto. Though they are no longer with us, their love and guidance paved the way for the remarkable person Angel became.

To honor and celebrate Angel's life, visitation will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Funeraria Luz De Paz located at 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT 06608.  interment will follow in the Mt. Grove Cemetery,  at 2675 North Ave, Bridgeport, CT 06604, approx. 1:45-2:00 PM Arrival.

Angel may no longer be with us physically, but his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those he touched throughout his life.
