In Loving Memory of

Aníbal Echevarría Cordovez

October 21, 1958 – December 30, 2025

Aníbal Echevarría Cordovez, lovingly known for his gentle spirit and unwavering faith, entered eternal rest on December 30, 2025, at Norwalk Hospital in Norwalk, Connecticut. He was born on October 21, 1958, in Playa de Ponce, Puerto Rico, to the late Silvestre Echevarría and the late Esther Cordovez.

Aníbal was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Marta I. Laboy, and a proud, loving father to Marcos Abdías Echevarría, Marcos Obed Echevarría, Marcos Aníbal Echevarría, and Jorge G. Echevarría. His joy was multiplied through his grandchildren: Marco Alexander, Carolina, Maximiliano, and Anthony, who were a constant source of pride and happiness in his life.

He is also survived by his siblings: Apolinari, Silvia, Noel, Lillian, David, Marcos, Roy, María Antonia, José Antonio, Iris María, Sara, and Alfredo Echevarría; and was predeceased by his siblings Reinaldo and Guillermo Echevarria. Aníbal leaves behind a large extended family of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will forever cherish his presence and example.

A minister who deeply loved the Lord, Aníbal dedicated his life to sharing the message of Christ with sincerity, humility, and conviction. He earned his Doctorate in Divinity, not as a title to carry, but as a tool to better serve others. His faith was lived daily—through kindness, truth, peace, and genuine love for people. Whether with family, church members, or friends, Aníbal made everyone feel seen, valued, and welcomed. To him, church was not just a place—it was family, bound by faith and love.

Friends and family are invited to attend a viewing to be held at Iglesia Bautista Emmanuel, located at 258 Harriett Street, Bridgeport, Connecticut.

Final disposition will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
