Antonia Sanchez

Antonia Sanchez, age 87, beloved wife of Edwin Sanchez, passed away peacefully into the presence of the Lord on June 2, 2024, at Bridgeport Hospital in Bridgeport, CT. Born in Utuado, Puerto Rico, Antonia later made her home in the mainland United States.

Antonia’s joy was always apparent, especially when surrounded by her cherished family. Nothing brought her more happiness than spending time with her loved ones, cooking, caring for her home, and enjoying a lively game of bingo. 

In addition to being the devoted wife of Edwin, Antonia was a proud mother to Margaro Robles, Jr., Carmen Carrion, and Marta Rodriguez. She was a loving grandmother to Jasmine B. Harlow, Eli S. Sanchez, Gabriel L. Carrion, Daniel Robles, Jesse Robles, Ricardo Robles, and the late Joel Robles. Her affectionate nature extended to her baby dog Lolita, who she adored. Antonia is also survived by her siblings Hiram Otero, Rogoberto Otero, Lucy Otero, Fiol D. Otero, Ivan Otero, and Carmen Diaz.
 In addition to her parents, the late Modesto and Belen Otero, she is preceded in death by her siblings the late Modesto Otero the late Carmelo Otero and the late Hilda Otero.  

Antonia’s presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, June 6, 2024, from 6-8 P.M. at Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 E. Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT. 

Final disposition will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
