With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Arsini Vazquez, a cherished member of our community and beloved family man, who departed this life on November 12, 2024, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, at the age of 80. Born on September 27, 1944, in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, Arsini's journey was marked by his unwavering spirit and the warmth he brought into the lives of those around him.
Arsini dedicated much of his working life in maintenance at Bridgeport Hospital and also lent his talents to the landscaping industry. His commitment to his work was reflected not just in the tasks he performed but in the connections he built with colleagues and friends alike. He was known for his charm, his ability to engage others in conversation with ease, and his infectious happiness that could light up any room.
A baseball enthusiast, Arsini passionately and oddly followed both the New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox, and his love for the game was only matched by his appreciation for music. As a music aficionado, he often shared his gift of singing, performing in a trio that delighted many. These hobbies enriched his life and allowed him to connect with others who shared his interests, forming bonds that would last a lifetime.
Arsini leaves behind his beloved children: Arcini Papo Vazquez, Marilyn Kish, Quetcy Vazquez-Romero, Gloria Castillo, Aurea Martinez, Jason Huggins, Steven Huggins, Elizabeth Vazquez, John Gonzalez, Amelia Gonzalez, Rafael Vazquez and Maria Vazquez his beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren many friends and relatives that will miss him dearly. Arsini is also survived by his caring siblings, Carmen Morales and Pablo Morales.
Arsini was preceded in death by his father, Leocadio Vazquez, and his mother, Paula Morales, two figures who laid the foundation for the kindness and charm he so profoundly embodied.
Family and friends are invited to join in remembrance during the visitation service on November 23, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Funeraria Luz De Paz, located at 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT 06608. This gathering will serve as a heartfelt tribute to a life that touched many and left an indelible mark on the hearts of those fortunate enough to know him.
Arsini Vazquez will be deeply missed but his spirit will live on in the stories told, the laughter shared, and the love he spread throughout his life. May he rest in peace.
