Aurea Marrero

Aurea E. Marrero, age 79, of Bridgeport has passed away into the peaceful rest of the Almighty on December 26, 2021, in Ludlow Healthcare Center, Fairfield, CT. Aurea was born in Cayey, Puerto Rico to the late Miguel Rodriguez and the late Inez Ramos. She had relocated to the US Mainland many years ago and has resided here since. Aurea was always full of joy who incessantly loved listening to music. She enjoyed singing every chance she had and loved cooking and spending time with her family. She loved Christmas and looked forward to the time of the year.

Aurea is survived by one son Florencio Salgado. her daughters Lisa Marrero, Sally Marrero, and Diane Marrero. her sister Rosa Alvarado of Bridgeport. Her 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. In addition to a host of other relatives and friends who will sorely miss her.

Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, January 3, 2022, beginning 10:00 A.M. until 12:30 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, 425 E Washington avenue, Bridgeport, followed by a funeral service in the funeral home at 12:30 PM. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport, CT
