Bibiana León Hernandez 

Bibiana León Hernandez, age 92, peacefully entered eternal rest on July 24, 2026. Born on December 21, 1933, in Manatí, Puerto Rico, she lived a life rooted in unwavering faith, generosity, and devotion to those she loved and for those she had not met. A homemaker and business owner alongside her beloved husband, the late Francisco Hernandez, Bibiana took great pride in helping operate their grocery "Bodega" business in Bronx, New York. She understood the value of hard work and found even greater joy in caring for her family, creating a great meal and spending time with them was one of her greatest joys in life. Her relationship with God was her foundation. A devoted, exemplary prayer warrior, Bibiana's faith was evident not only in her words but in the way she lived each day. She loved the Lord with all her heart and found great fulfillment in sharing His goodness with others. Whether offering encouragement, praying for someone in need, or quietly performing acts of kindness, she sought to be a blessing to everyone around her. Bibiana had a love for travel and treasured the opportunity to experience the greatness of God's creation. Among the many places she visited were Cuba and Israel, journeys that enriched her faith and left lasting memories. Along with her husband she enjoyed going places to share the gospel on mission trips. 

Bibiana leaves to cherish her memory her children she loved in ways that words could never explain: Frances Hernandez (Walderon), Sally Hernandez, Sonia Perez, Doris Hernandez Murphy, David Hernandez, and Frank Hernandez; her siblings, Virginia Leon and Juan Leon; nine cherished grandchildren and five treasured great-grandchildren, along with many extended family members, friends, and all whose lives were touched by her kindness, wisdom, and steadfast faith. 

Though her family mourns her absence, they find comfort in knowing that the woman who faithfully prayed for others throughout her days now rests peacefully in the presence of the Lord she so faithfully served. Her legacy of faith, compassion, generosity, and unconditional love will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.

Please join the family during calling hours to be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 from 5-8 PM at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 E. Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT. 

Final Disposition will take place with a 11:30 AM scheduled arrival at the St. Raymond Cemetery, Bronx, New York.
