Blanca I. Diaz, cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully in her Bridgeport residence surrounded by the love of her family on July 29, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on September 26, 1942, in Utuado, Puerto Rico, Blanca’s life journey was one marked by devotion to family, resilience, and unwavering love.

Blanca’s roots in Utuado shaped her early years, instilling in her a deep appreciation for community, culture, and tradition. These values remained with her as she built her life and family, later settling in Bridgeport, where she became a beloved presence to all who knew her.

She is survived by her devoted daughter, Sonia M.Diaz, who was a source of pride, joy, and enduring companionship throughout Blanca’s life. Blanca's legacy continues through her grandchildren and great grandchildren: Melanie, Steven, Xavier, Ali, Yazmine, Eriberto, Nashiangelise, Leilani, and Xya, each of whom brought her immense happiness and fulfillment. Her love and guidance live on in their hearts and memories.

A viewing to honor and remember Blanca I. Diaz will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Funeraria Luz De Paz, located at 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT 06608. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Blanca are invited to pay their respects and celebrate her life and legacy.
