Carmen DeJesus, a cherished figure of love and dedication, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2025, in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Born on March 15, 1944, in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, Carmen was a shining light in the lives of many, embodying kindness and strength throughout her life.
As a dedicated machinist in the manufacturing industry, Carmen exemplified hard work and commitment, traits she carried from the workplace into her personal life. Among her proudest accomplishments was being a loving mother to her son, Teddy Navarro, with whom she shared a unique and special bond. Her nurturing spirit extended to her role as an outstanding grandmother, deeply connecting with her grandsons, Eliott Navarro and Teddy Navarro Jr.
Carmen was more than her profession; she was an active listener with a big heart, always open to lending an ear. Her warm, welcoming nature made her home a haven for family and friends alike, and she had a way of sharing her pearls of wisdom that enriched the lives of those around her. Friends and family alike knew her as a good person, sweet and true to her word. She enjoyed watching westerns and telenovelas, attending family functions, and most importantly, she loved her family fiercely.
She leaves behind a legacy of love that includes her grandsons, Eliott and Teddy Jr, and her great-grandchildren, Xander, Scarlet, and Dimitri Navarro. Carmen's family also includes her beloved brother, Ruben DeJesus, her niece Ana Navarro, whom she cherished as a sister, and Jocelyn Degennaro, whom she regarded as a daughter. She is remembered fondly by many nephews and nieces who were touched by her generous spirit.
Carmen was preceded in death by her parents, Liborio DeJesus and Maria Morales, her beloved son Teddy Navarro Sr. and her siblings Johnny DeJesus, Catalina DeJesus, and Maria Montanez. Their spirits will remain with her in the hearts of those who remain.
The Family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Northbridge Health Care Center where Carmen was cared for. There kindness, compassion and dedication made a difference in her life.
