Cesar Eduardo Avila, born on February 1, 1977, in Dallas, Texas, passed away on May 15, 2025, at Norwalk Hospital in Norwalk, Connecticut. He was a beloved chef known for his passion and dedication to the culinary arts. His creative spirit and commitment to his craft touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting impression in the kitchens he worked in and on the palates of those who had the pleasure of enjoying his meals.
Cesar is survived by his life partner, Roseanne Torres, who stood by his side through thick and thin. His mother, Nicolasa Cortina Zetina, his adoptive parents, Ignacio Avila and Nancy Martinez, provided him with support and guidance throughout his life. He also leaves behind two sisters, Juana Ocampos and Sara Ocampos, who will forever hold the memories of their time together close to their hearts.
Cesar's father, Juan Ocampos, predeceased him, leaving a void that will be felt by all who knew him.
A viewing will be held to honor Cesar's life on May 25, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Funeraria Luz De Paz, located at 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT 06608.
