Cherrie Rose Thomas, age 75, of Stratford, has entered the peaceful rest of the Almighty on July 11, 2021 in ST. Vincent's Medical Center. Cherrie was born in Jamaica but had relocated to the United States since 1998 and has resided here since. She is the daughter of the late Esau Haughton and the late Millicent Malcolm. Cherrie was the Widow of the late Clovis S. Thomas. A woman full of faith, she desired nothing more than to love the Lord and serve in her church; During the most recent times, during the pandemic Cherrie simply could not stop thinking about the day she would be able to once again attend services at church to worship and praise her Lord. Cherrie graduated from Grange Hill Primary School and went straight to Helen Campbell Commercial School where she acquired the skill of short hand writing and Typing as well as started her skills in Culinary Arts. She started working at a very young age at Drug store/Pharmacy and from there moved on to work for Miller Furniture store as a secretary and that’s where she met her husband Clovis Thomas at the age of 20 who also died 11yrs ago. Cherrie later worked at P & F Restaurant and thats where she used her mastered skills in cooking and as the head pastry chef. Mother Cherrie Rose Thomas will be greatly missed by all, but our faith brings us to the promises of embracing her in the Presence of the Lord. Cherrie is survived by her sons, Conwade Thomas, Hansworth Thomas (Kadean Weddernberg). Her daughters Sandra Thomas, Jacqueline Thomas and Althea Alexander (Colin Alexander). her grandchildren Gail Henry, Trevon Palmer, Teshawndra Thomas, Dave Thomas, Tiandra Thomas,Tevoi Thomas and Zayn Alexander. her great grand child Amoy Robinson; her siblings Lecesta Haughton and Millicent Gordon; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends whom will sorely miss her; She was predeceased by her brothers the Douglas Haughton and the late Errol Haughton. Friends are invited to attend calling hours which will be held on Saturday, July 24, 2021 from 9:00 AM-12:00 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E.
