Cristino Pagan Martinez , a dedicated and hard-working individual, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2025, at the Veteran's Hospital in West Haven, Connecticut. Born on April 23, 1929, in Orocovis, Puerto Rico, Cristino embodied a rich heritage and a commitment to his family and community.

A retired employee of the Water Pollution Control Authority (W.P.C.A.), Cristino devoted many years of his life to public service, demonstrating exceptional loyalty and dedication in all his endeavors. His tireless work ethic was evident throughout his career, leaving a lasting impact on those who had the privilege to know him as a colleague and friend.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Cristino was a proud veteran who served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He carried this honor with pride, representing his country with dignity and valor.

Outside of work, Cristino treasured the moments spent with his family, particularly during vacations with his late wife. He was a devoted father to Irwin and Cristino Martinez Jr., grandfather to Isaiah, Vicky, Victoria, and Monica and great grandfather to Ziel Natal. Cristino enjoyed staying current with the world around him by avidly watching the news. He also had a fondness for dining out, especially enjoying breakfast at IHOP and lunch or dinner at American Steakhouse.

Cristino is predeceased by his parents and siblings, Cristino Martinez and Isabel Pagan, whose legacy continues to inspire the family he cherished so dearly.

Friends and family are invited to honor Cristino's memory on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Funeraria Luz De Paz in Bridgeport, Connecticut. This will allow loved ones to gather and celebrate the life of a man who dedicated himself fully to both family and his work. His legacy of hard work, loyalty, and devotion will not be forgotten.

Final interment will take place in Florida.
