Crusita Figueroa

Crusita Medina Figueroa, age 96 of Bridgeport beloved wife of the late Narcisco Figueroa passed away peacefully with her children by her side on Wednesday, February 14, 2024.  She was born in Caguas Puerto Rico on February 12, 1928.   She was the daughter of the late Pascasio Medina and Ricarda Del Valle Crusita will be remembered as a devoted mother, wife, and matriarch. She read the Bible and prayed her rosary daily. She was a devoted Catholic and instilled the Catholic faith in her children. She was a parishioner at Saint Mary’s church. Crusita enjoyed knitting, sewing, and cooking. She loved animals and taught her children to be kind to animals. She also enjoyed planting and gardening. Crusita always gave a helping hand in her community, she was loved by many who knew her. She carried herself with the highest standard and integrity. Crusita was very proud of her children and enjoyed spending time and sharing stories. She continues to guide her children by empowering her sons and daughters with life lessons, maintaining integrity and value, and respecting humanity. In her legacy, she leaves behind her survivors, Jose, Miguel, Luz (Lucy) Russell, Rafael, Carmen Delia, David, Richard, Norma Tozzi and Marine Davis. (18) grandchildren, (24) great-grandchildren, and (2) Great-Greatgrand children.

The services to honor and celebrate Crusita Figueroa's life will be held at Funeraria Luz De Paz in Bridgeport. The visitation will take place on February 22 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on February 23 from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM followed by a Mass at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church at 11:00 AM. The burial will be at Mt. Grove Cemetery on February 23 at 12:30 PM.

Crusita's earthly journey may have come to an end, but her spirit and love endure within those who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace knowing that she was deeply loved and will be eternally missed.
