David Gonzalez

David Gonzalez, age 56, beloved son of the late Victor Gonzalez and the late Gloria E. Santana passed away into the peaceful rest of the Lord on May 15, 2021 in St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport, CT. David was a lifelong Bridgeport resident and loved every part of this city throughout his life. He attended Bridgeport Public Schools and after finishing continued living within the city. David was a historian of Bridgeport, often providing detailed counts of what businesses used to operate in current locations. From Father Panic Village, Bridgeport Harbor and simple places like where houses stood where buildings stand today. He loved his kids and family and would look forward to spending quality time with everyone. He will be sadly missed by all. David is survived by his children David Gonzalez Jr. and Jonathan J. Gonzalez; his daughter Arielle A. Gonzalez. His grand daughters Bryael Lyana Gonzalez, Aaliya Sky Gonzalez, Amaya Lynn Gonzalez. His siblings Jenny Santana, Victor Vasquez, Carlos Vasquez, Juan Santana, Anna C. Cruz, Nora Gonzalez, Salvador (Buck) Gonzalez and Hector L. Gonzalez; and a host of other relatives and friends whom will sorely miss him. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings the late William Billy Santana and the late Edgar (Eddy) Gonzalez. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, May 21, 2021 from 9:30 AM until 11 AM at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 East Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT, followed by the funeral service inside the funeral home. Soon thereafter interment will take place in Park Cemetery, Bridgeport, CT.
