Dolores Figueroa, beloved mother, wife, and friend, passed away on December 5, 2023, at the age of 96 in Bridgeport Hospital, Bridgeport, CT. Born on April 7, 1927, in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, Dolores lived a life filled with strength, commitment, empathy, and love.

Known for her assertiveness and unwavering convictions, Dolores was a force to be reckoned with. She fearlessly stood up for what she believed in and never wavered in the face of adversity. Her faith in God was paramount. Despite her strong-willed nature, Dolores possessed an exemplary empathetic heart that extended to those in need. Her compassion knew no bounds as she always went out of her way to lend a helping hand.

In addition to her caring nature, Dolores had a deep passion for cooking. She delighted in preparing delicious meals for her family and friends who eagerly gathered around her table to savor her culinary masterpieces. The kitchen was her sanctuary where she poured love and creativity into every dish. Outside of the kitchen, Dolores was an extremely talented. seamstress, sewing anything from a simple scarf to the bridesmaid's dresses of her wedding, bautiful eye for style and techniques to accomplish the look she wanted.

Dolores also cherished spending time with her family. Whether it was engaging in lively conversations or creating beautiful memories together, family was at the center of her world. She treasured every moment spent with her loved ones and taught them the value of unity and unconditional love.

Furthermore, gardening held a special place in Dolores' heart. The vibrant colors of blooming flowers brought immense joy to her soul. Through nurturing and tending to her garden, she found solace and tranquility amidst the chaos of life.

Dolores is survived by her adoring family members who will forever cherish the moments they shared with her, like Victor Figueroa, William Figueroa (Cynthia) Figueroa, and Richard Figueroa, Dolores' sons, who were privileged to have her as a mother. Dolores also loved spending  time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Dolores has now entered eternal rest, leaving behind a legacy of strength and compassion that will endure for generations to come. Her memory will be honored during visitation at Funeraria Luz De Paz in Bridgeport, CT on December 13, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM. A funeral service will follow at the same location from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM. Dolores will then be laid to rest at Lakeview Cemetery in Bridgeport, CT at a burial service starting at 1:30 PM.

Dolores Figueroa touched the lives of many with her loving nature and unwavering determination. She taught us to stand up for what we believe in while remaining compassionate towards others. As we say our final goodbyes, let us remember the joy she brought into our lives and strive to emulate her spirit of empathy and resilience.

May her soul find eternal peace as she reunites with her loved ones who have gone before her like her beloved husband the late Nemesio Figueroa and her son the late Ernesto Figueroa.
