Con gran pesar y profunda tristeza anunciamos el fallecimiento de Dominga Esperanza de Carrillo, una amada madre, abuela y alma entrañable que partió de esta vida el 20 de marzo de 2026 en West Haven, Connecticut. Nacida el 8 de enero de 1927 en Perú, Dominga vivió una vida definida por el amor, la dedicación y un compromiso inquebrantable con su familia.
Costurera talentosa de oficio, las manos de Dominga no solo tejían telas, sino también los hilos de calidez y cuidado que mantuvieron unida a su familia a lo largo de los años. Su pasión por la costura solo era superada por su alegría al cocinar y organizar reuniones familiares, momentos en los que su espíritu acogedor brillaba con mayor intensidad.

It is with heavy hearts and profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Dominga Esperanza de Carrillo, a beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished soul who departed this life on March 20, 2026, in West Haven, Connecticut. Born on January 8, 1927, in Peru, Dominga lived a life defined by love, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to her family.
A talented seamstress by craft, Dominga’s hands wove not only fabric but also the threads of warmth and care that held her family close throughout the years. Her passion for sewing was matched only by her joy in cooking and hosting family gatherings—the very moments that allowed her nurturing spirit to shine brightest.
Dominga's character was marked by deep caring, nurturing nature, and steadfast loyalty. These qualities were evident in every facet of her life, especially in the heartfelt devotion she showed to those she loved. She took great care in raising her family and was actively involved in the upbringing of her grandchildren, ensuring that they were surrounded by love and guidance. In times of need, particularly during the final stages of pregnancy of her family members, Dominga opened her home and her heart without hesitation. She cared for them tenderly, offering comfort and support during these critical moments, and continued her vigil even after the birth, nurturing both mother and child with unwavering devotion.
Her legacy is lovingly preserved through the lives of her children—Carlos, Marta, and Manuel—each carrying forward the values she instilled. She is also survived by her brother Alberto, ten grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren, all of whom were blessed by her presence and carry her memory in their hearts.
Dominga's early years were shaped by the love of her parents, Eduardo Moncada and Cecilia Flores Moncada, and the bonds of her eight siblings, now deceased, who shared her journey in life. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Leonidas Carrillo, and her daughter Carmen, whose memories she held dear.
Those wishing to pay their respects may gather to honor Dominga’s memory during a viewing scheduled on March 27, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Funeraria Luz De Paz, located at 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT 06608. Following the viewing, a burial service will take place at Park Cemetery Association, 620 Lindley Street, Bridgeport, CT 06606, beginning at 1:30 PM.
