Edgar Saez Morales

Edgar Saez Morales, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and a proud veteran, passed away on September 4, 2025, at the Veteran's Hospital in West Haven, CT. Born on October 27, 1948, in Guayanilla, Puerto Rico, Edgar lived a life full of passion, dedication, and warmth.

For 52 beautiful years, he was married to his beloved wife, Kum "Mai" Morales, whose companionship enriched his journey and whose love was a constant source of joy and strength. Together, they built a family that stands as a testament to their enduring love and values.

Edgar was a devoted father to his children, Peter Morales and Edgar Morales, who, along with their partners Tracy and Lenette, carry on his legacy of love and perseverance. He was also a proud grandfather to Tarsha, Albert, Gabrielle, Peter, Edgar, Arianna, Eric, and Daniella, and great grandchildren Mateo, Caedon, Emilia, McKenzie and Mia who cherished every moment spent with him and are grateful for the wisdom and laughter he imparted in their lives.

Throughout his career as a material handler, Edgar approached every task with integrity and determination. His dedication extended beyond his professional life; he honorably served the United States in the Air Force as an aircraft mechanic, a role that demonstrated his commitment to service and excellence.

Edgar was known not only for his work ethic but also for his vibrant personality and diverse interests. A handy man at heart, he was notoriously known for purchasing used cars with the ambition to restore them, though many often remained untouched. Fishing was another passion of his; he found great solace in the waters of Pleasure Beach and Daytona Beach, Florida, where he spent priceless moments in nature, reflecting and recharging.

Every Friday, he could be found enjoying his favorite foods as a regular customer at Tomlinson's in Bridgeport, where he shared stories and laughter with friends and neighbors. Edgar's charm and easy-going demeanor left a lasting impression on those who knew him.

He is survived by his cherished wife, children, grandchildren, and siblings: Edith Santos, Marilyn Rodriguez, Nilsa Morales, and Ruth Gomez. Edgar was preceded in death by his parents, Enrique Morales and Maria A. Saez, as well as his siblings Luis, Angel, Jack and Awilda and great grandson Brody who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms.

As we remember Edgar Saez Morales, we celebrate a life filled with love, dedication, and the unwavering spirit of a man who touched the hearts of many. His memory will live on in the stories shared by his family and friends, echoing the warmth of his smile and the depth of his love.
