Edwin Rivera Perez, a beloved father, grandfather, and cherished friend, left this world on October 11, 2025, in Fairfield, Connecticut. Born on June 1, 1954, in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, Edwin lived a life rich in love, laughter, and hard work, dabbling in various fields throughout his career, embodying the spirit of determination and resilience.

In all aspects of his life, Edwin was known for being a happy person, always willing to help others. He carried a remarkable sense of humor that made everyone smile, brightening even the darkest of days. Those who knew him would often say he was an exemplary man, filled with great virtues that inspired everyone around him. Edwin’s kindness extended to everyone he met, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of many.

He is survived by his three devoted children: Stephany Rivera, Carlos Rivera, and Jennifer Rivera, all of whom hold dear the lessons of love and compassion that their father instilled in them. Edwin also leaves behind a legacy of joy through his grandchildren, who will forever remember the warmth of his embrace and the laughter they shared.  He also leaves his dear former wife of 30 years and friend Celestina Adorno Cruzado.

Edwin's parents, Manuel Rivera and Ana Maria Perez, along with his son Jonathan Rivera, welcomed him into the next life, creating a loving reunion filled with stories and memories. As he joins them, the impact he made on the lives of others will continue to resonate.

Family and friends are invited to share in a viewing to celebrate Edwin's life on Thursday, October 23, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Luz De Paz, located at 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT.

Edwin Rivera Pérez, un amado padre, abuelo y querido amigo, partió de este mundo el 11 de octubre de 2025 en Fairfield, Connecticut. Nacido el 1 de junio de 1954 en Bayamón, Puerto Rico, Edwin vivió una vida llena de amor, alegría y esfuerzo, desempeñándose en diversos campos a lo largo de su carrera y reflejando siempre un espíritu de determinación y fortaleza.

En todos los aspectos de su vida, Edwin fue conocido por ser una persona alegre, siempre dispuesto a ayudar a los demás. Poseía un sentido del humor extraordinario que hacía sonreír a todos, iluminando incluso los días más oscuros. Quienes lo conocieron solían decir que era un hombre ejemplar, lleno de grandes valores que inspiraban a todos a su alrededor. La bondad de Edwin se extendía a cada persona que encontraba, dejando una huella imborrable en los corazones de muchos.

Le sobreviven sus tres hijos devotos: Stephany Rivera, Carlos Rivera y Jennifer Rivera, quienes conservan con cariño las lecciones de amor y compasión que su padre les inculcó. Edwin también deja un legado de alegría a través de sus nietos, quienes recordarán por siempre la calidez de su abrazo y las risas compartidas. Tambien deja a su querida ex esposa de 30 años y amiga Celestina Adorno Cruzado.

Sus padres, Manuel Rivera y Ana María Pérez, junto con su hijo Jonathan Rivera, lo recibieron en la eternidad, creando un reencuentro lleno de amor, historias y recuerdos. Mientras se une a ellos, el impacto que dejó en las vidas de los demás continuará resonando.
