~THE LIFE OF EMMA ENITH SANCHEZ~
On November 21, 2023, at 11: 15 p.m., Emma Enith Sanchez, with her husband by her side and while praying with her Pastor, peacefully transitioned from this life into the eternal presence of God.
Emma, the only daughter of Cristino and Emma Calderon, was born on June 12, 1971, in Bridgeport, Connecticut. In 2005, she married the love of her life, Juan Sanchez. From this union, one daughter, Abigail Julianna, was born.
At the age of twelve, Emma committed her life to Christ. She was a member of the Good Shepherd Church in Bridgeport, CT, under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Simon & Rev. Lucrecia Castillo. After she was married, Emma joined her husband as a member of the Macedonia Church in Norwalk, CT, under the leadership of Rev. DeWitt Stevens Jr., serving as a Minister, Worship Leader, and Usher.
Emma was educated in the Bridgeport Public School System. After high school, she pursued higher education and obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Sacred Heart University and a Master's Degree in Counseling from the University of Bridgeport. Emma began her career working for the Upward Bound Program at Sacred Heart University serving as the Assistant Director. She was employed for twenty-five years.
Emma was a remarkable wife and mother. She had it all-beauty, style, grace, intelligence, wit, a great laugh, and elegance that was from another era. She was generous to a fault, always putting others' needs before her own. Emma loved to travel, shop, and dance but her real legacy is her commitment to her faith and her family. Emma had a vast family, both immediate and extended, who felt her love. She was happiest when surrounded by them. She stayed close to those she did not see often with phone calls reminding them of how much she loved them. When diagnosed with breast cancer at age 50, Emma faced her illness with stoicism, faith, and courage. Her bravery and dignity in the face of this illness was awe-inspiring.  A prayer on her lips and faith in her heart, she remained the most beautiful woman in the room. She was loyal, compassionate, courageous, and lived out her faith until the time of her passing spreading kindness and beauty.
Emma leaves to cherish her memory husband, Juan Sanchez; daughter, Abigail Sanchez; two stepsons, Ramon (Nena) Sanchez and Eric Sanchez; a bonus daughter, Tylah Stevens; parents, Cristino and Emma Calderon; three brothers, Angel Calderon, Michael (Allinette) Calderon and Joseph (Carolina) Calderon; grandchildren, Marangelie Sanchez, Ramon Sanchez, Jr., Alexander Sanchez, Michael Sanchez and Joshua Sanchez; special friends and caretakers, Diane Chandler, Jenise Rivera, Betsy Calderon, Ashley Herrera and Stephanie Louis and a host of other relatives and friends.

A celebration of Emma's life will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Macedonia Church, 39 West Avenue, Norwalk, Connecticut with a public visitation at 9:00 a.m. (one hour prior to the service).

Burial will follow at the Lakeview Cemetery, 885 Boston Avenue, Bridgeport, CT.
