Listen to Obituary

Eneida Ramirez, a dedicated and loving matriarch, was born on January 29,1943 in Salinas, Puerto Rico to the late Esperanza Garcia. She graced this world with her presence until January 11, 2026, when she departed at St. Vincent's Medical Center with her children by her side. Eneida leaves behind a legacy of unwavering devotion, kindness, and strength that will forever resonate in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her.

For many years, Eneida was a diligent piece worker at Remington Shavers, where she exemplified her unfaltering dedication and commitment to her craft. Her loyalty and work ethic stood as a testament to her character, earning the respect and admiration of her colleagues. Outside of work, Eneida cherished her role as a humble servant of the Lord, dedicating countless hours to St. Anthony/St. Peter's church in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Her faith was the guiding force in her life, inspiring those around her to embrace devotion and service.

As a proud Puerto Rican, Eneida was known for her outstanding culinary skills. An exceptional cook, she infused every meal with her personal touch, especially when preparing traditional Puerto Rican dishes that warmed the hearts and homes of her loved ones. She had a special appreciation for flowers and gardening which she delighted in the beauty they brought to her surroundings. In her free time, Eneida also enjoyed trips to the casino where she often shared laughter and joy with family and friends.

Eneida's greatest pride stemmed from her family, particularly her beloved husband of 52 years Jorge Ramirez Sr. who predeceased her. Together they built a life filled with love and cherished memories. Eneida was not only a devoted wife but also a loving mother to Aldwin, Karitza, Jorge Jr. and the late Kevin Ramirez. Her grandchildren—Malani Calder, Jayden Ramirez, Julissa Ramirez, Talese Toran, and Jorge J.Ramirez—were a source of endless joy, and she took immense pride in their accomplishments and individuality.

Described as very selfless, loyal, trustworthy, dedicated and always willing to help, faithful, and organized, Eneida possessed a warm spirit that touched everyone she met. She will be remembered for her profound love for her family and her unwavering faith in God. Though she is no longer with us, the enduring impact of her life will be felt for generations to come.
