In Loving Memory of

Felix G. Plaza

May 2, 1938 – March 7, 2026

Felix G. Plaza, 87, entered into eternal rest on March 7, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loving family as he peacefully transitioned into God's glorious presence.

Felix was born on May 2, 1938, in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico, to the late Nicacio Plaza and the late Carmen M. Rivera. In time, he made his home in Bridgeport, Connecticut, where he became known not only for his kindness and devotion to family, but also for his artistic and musical talents.

A gifted guitarist, Felix spent many years sharing his love of music. He performed at various venues throughout the community, including the once-famous Crystal Ballroom in Bridgeport, and played with groups such as Conjunto Los Boricuas and other local bands. Music was a joyful expression of who he was, and those who heard him play could easily feel the passion behind every note.

Felix was also a talented artist whose creativity flowed naturally. Whether through drawing or other artistic expressions, he had a remarkable eye for beauty and detail. In quieter moments, he enjoyed spending time on his computer and often created small, heartfelt notes expressing his love for his beloved wife.

Above all else, Felix was a devoted family man. Nothing brought him greater happiness than seeing his family smiling. He found joy in life’s simplest moments and carried a heart filled with love, gratitude, and generosity toward those around him. His greatest love was for his wife of over 59 years, Olga C. Plaza, affectionately known by him as his beloved “Olgi.” Their bond was one of deep devotion and enduring companionship, a love that remained the center of his life.

Felix is survived by his loving wife, Olga C. Plaza; his children, German F. Plaza (Karen), Dalia Plaza (David), Felix Plaza Jr., and Alberto Plaza (Olga); and by a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will cherish his memory. He was predeceased by his son, Jose Plaza.

Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 East Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, Connecticut.
