Francisco Papo Montañez

On April 23, 2024, the world lost a remarkable soul as Francisco Papo Montañez known to many as “Papo Green Eye’s” peacefully passed away at his Bridgeport residence. Born in Aguas Buenas, PR on March 20, 1958,  Francisco's impact during his time on Earth was immeasurable.

Francisco leaves behind a legacy that will be cherished by his surviving family and friends. His wife Carmen Montanez. His daughters Michelle (Jeff), Natisha and two sons, Francisco Montanez and Francisco Santiago will forever hold him dear in their hearts. He leaves behind 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his mother Juana Badillo. Among those grieving his loss are also his father Victor Montanez (Evelyn) , sisters Gladys, Noemi, Besty, Janette and Janira, three brothers, Angel Badillo Jaziel Montanez and Elvin Cruz.

In addition he will be missed by his nieces, nephews, cousins and very close friends. 

Francisco's life will be celebrated at the Visitation service to be held on May 4, 2024, from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Funeraria Luz De Paz located at 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT 06608, United States.

Although our hearts are heavy with grief at the loss of such a beloved individual, we find solace in the memories of Francisco Papo Montañez's kindness, wisdom, and unwavering love for his family. May he rest in eternal peace knowing he was loved deeply and will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
