Haydee Bayon

November 28, 1953 — April 11, 2021

Haydee Bayon, age 67, currently of Trumbull has relocated to the Heavens above into the Presence of the Lord on Sunday, April 11, 2021 in St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport, CT. Haydee was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, but had relocated to the Bridgeport area many years ago. Haydee is daughter of the late Marcelino and the late Evangelista Bayon. Haydee was an amazing woman full of faith. Nothing made her waive from her trust in the Lord. She enjoyed nothing more than to sing and praise the Lord every chance she had. A simple woman throughout her entire life. Haydee really didn't care much for having luxuries. She valued spending time with her family, brothers and sisters from church and always looked forward to it. Haydee was struck with Polio at a very young age, and by the Grace of God, she survived and continued forward. All her life she focused her energy in loving everyone around her. She was always the right hand of her mom throughout her mother's life, and when both her parents passed, she began to have more experiences as she began to travel with her family. She might have had reasons to be isolated and dry, but she was nothing of the kind. Her caring personality, her wanting to bless others, and hearing her laugh was nothing less than a treat. She was always willing to lend a hand whenever she could, whether it be to care for her parents or extended relatives, especially her nephews, cousins, nieces, etc. Each one of the kids in the family always loved Haydee because she never had a foul word to say, never treated others in anger. Despite the aftermath the Polio left on her left leg, she continued to do what many thought she could never. Nothing stopped her from trying and doing whatever came her way. She just had this gentle persona in her, one that never vented her frustrations or needs, and put herself aside always smiling for everyone around her. Her unconditional love for everyone around her allowed you to appreciate her and her willingness to say yes at all times, even when she could have said no. For few years Haydee helped incessantly at Funeraria Luz de Paz, Bridgeport, CT where she would make sure that the guests were able to get answers to any questions and directions when needed. Again, her commitment was admirable and her kind demeanor was nothing less than who she was deep down inside. She did not have a mean bone in her body and as a result today she is reaping the promises given to her by the Lord she served. Resting in Gods precious presence and her spirit reuniting with those who moved ahead before her. Haydee will always hold a special place in the heart of her family and friends. For her protection she spent the last year in isolation and by the Grace and love of Christ she avoided getting COVID. However this was a very trying time for her as she was not able to spend a lot of quality time with her family and friends. Until we meet again Haydee you enjoy the Magnitude of the Presence of the Almighty, but when we get there, you gotta share with us....I'm sure there is enough to go around for us all! Haydee is survived by her siblings Carlos Bayon and his wife Mirta of Bridgeport, Nelson Bayon and his wife Georgina, most recently of Bridgeport, and Carmen Sanjurjo, of Bridgeport, a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends whom will dearly miss her. Friends are invited to calling hour which will take place on Thursday, April 15, 2021 beginning at 9:00 A.M. at the Good Shepherd Christian Church, 725 Hancock Avenue, Bridgeport, CT, followed by a Funeral Service beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the church.
