The thrill it brought him was mirrored only by the excitement he felt while watching classic Cowboy movies that transported him to another time and place. And when he wasn't lost in the world of sports or cinema, you could find him happily wandering through nature, taking long walks and relishing in its beauty.

On November 2, 2023, Hector passed away peacefully at Bridgeport Hospital in Bridgeport, CT. Though his physical journey has come to an end, his spirit will forever live on through memories cherished by all whose lives he touched.

Hector's memory will be forever etched in the hearts of those closest to him. He leaves behind his beloved daughter Carmen Ramos and son Luis E. Colon, whose lives were enriched immeasurably by their father's unwavering love and guidance. Not only did Hector leave an undeniable impact on his immediate family but also on his daughter-in-law Sonia Torres and daughter Catalina Acevedo along with son-in-law Jose.

His eleven precious grandchildren were the light of his existence, and he reveled in their laughter, growth, and unique personalities. To honor Hector's life, a visitation will be held on November 7, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Funeraria Luz De Paz located at 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT 06608. This will be an opportunity for family, friends, and members of the community to come together and celebrate the vibrant life lived by this remarkable man.
