Hector came to Bridgeport when he was 19 to work and help the family he left behind in Puerto Rico. He owned Guayanilla Market on Hallet Street. He worked for the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation where he retired with 17 years of service. He was a strong, giving man who worked tirelessly to ensure that his family had everything they needed. He faced every challenge in life with admirable strength and courage. Guayanilla. He lived out his dream for 16 years before returning back home to
Bridgeport. His hobbies included fishing, playing the guitar, working on his cars, and telling the best jokes at the most random times.
