Iris Rios Lopez

Iris Rios Lopez, 73, returned to the loving arms of the Lord at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT.  She was born in Bridgeport to the late Luis Rios and the late Segunda Lopez.

Iris was a very creative person who's talents were found in her arts and crafts and knitted works.  She was an avid bingo player and gambler.  She was a loyal fan of the New York Yankees.  She had a grand sense of humor and always joking around.  She was an extremely thoughtful person who called everyone on their birthday.  She was raised in Father Panik Village on the Eastside of Bridgeport.  She enjoyed spending time at Seaside Park and often times could be spotted at Diamond 11.

Iris' memory will be cherished by her loving children German Rivera, Iris M. Rivera (Alexander Aponte), Isabel Bright (Darren), Aida Fields, and Antonio Gonzalez (Deborah); and her precious 16 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; and a host of friends and relatives that will miss her dearly.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2022, from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM, at Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 East Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT.  Interment will follow immediately after at Park Cemetery 625 Lindley Street, Bridgeport, CT.
