Iris Rivera

Iris M. Rivera, age 66, of Bridgeport has passed away into the peaceful rest of the Lord on January 25, 2022 in Bridgeport Hospital, Bridgeport, CT.  Iris was born in Utuado, Puerto Rico to the late Juan Rivera and the late Gladys Soto, but relocated to the Bridgeport area some time ago and has resided here since.  Iris was a very lovely woman focused on her family and lived daily looking forward to the family dinners and spending time with her children and grandchildren.  Nothing made her happier than to be surrounded by those she loved so much.  She will be sadly missed by all.  

She is survived by her son Roberto Ruiz. Her daughters Migdalia Ruiz and Janet Ruiz.  Five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.  Her brother Efrain Rivera and a host of other relatives and friends who will sorely miss her.  

Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, February 3, 2022 from 10:30 AM-1:30 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E. Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT 06608.  Interment will follow in the Mt. Grove Cemetery,  Bridgeport, CT.
