Isabel Nieves

Isabel Nieves Figueroa, born on November 12, 1956, in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico, passed away on April 1, 2026. She was the beloved daughter of Justo Figueroa and Rosa Roldan, and the devoted wife of Benjamin Nieves.

Isabel was a loving and proud mother to Benjamin Nieves Jr. (Lourdes), Jose Nieves (Michelle), and Armando Nieves (Yvette). Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren, Amalia, Sophia, Monica, Brianna, Jose, and Emma, as well as her adored great-grandchildren, Chloe, Luna, Rio, and Rya. She is the cherished sister of Osvaldo, Jose, Blanca, Carmen Maria, Carmen Milagros, Nereida, Wilfredo, William and Raymond. Along with her parents she was predeceased by her adored siblings Luis, Margarita, Mercedes and Placido

Her greatest joy in life was the time she shared with her family, creating memories that will be treasured forever. Isabel will be remembered for her love of family, her strength, her ability to make everyone feel special, and the lasting impact she made on all who had the blessing of knowing her.

All are invited to pay their respects on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM and again on Wednesday, April 8 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 East Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT. Interment will follow Wednesday's service at Mt. Grove Cemetery, 1675 North Avenue, Bridgeport, CT.
