Isabel Ortiz Burgos

Isabel Ortiz Burgos, of Bridgeport, Connecticut, passed away on September 21, 2026, at the age of 78. She was born on April 20, 1948, in Ponce, Puerto Rico, and carried with her the spirit of her birthplace throughout her life.

Isabel will be remembered with love as a joyful person.  These joys shaped her days and the warmth she shared with those around her. She especially enjoyed fishing with her late husband, Victor A. Burgos, a simple pleasure that brought companionship, peace, and cherished memories, especially at Seaside Park.  She was a talented seamstress who always listened to music, especially Ivy Queen.  She enjoyed shopping and was thrilled whenever she found a great deal at a thrift store. 

Above all, Isabel’s life was rooted in family. She leaves behind her son, Victor F. Burgos.  She is also lovingly remembered by her granddaughters, Danyel Rivera and Bianca Burgos, who carry forward her memory and the love she gave so freely.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Victor A. Burgos, her daughter Isabel Burgos and Marilyn Burgos, and her parents, Isabel Burgos and Felix Ortiz. Their memories remained an enduring part of her life and her story.

Those who knew Isabel Ortiz Burgos will remember a woman whose presence was deeply felt by her family and whose memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her. May she rest in peace.
