James Luna

James Luna, a dedicated and compassionate certified nursing assistant, passed away on December 9, 2025, in Bridgeport, CT, at the age of 65. Born on February 21, 1960, in Camuy, Puerto Rico, James was known for his warmth and nurturing spirit, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. His calling as a nursing assistant allowed him to touch countless lives, providing care and support with a heartfelt dedication that will be sorely missed.

James had a vibrant personality, often described as a homebody who found joy and peace in the comforts of home. Yet, he was also a passionate fan of Latin music, captivating friends and family alike with his graceful salsa dancing. An avid globetrotter, he often shared tales of his travels, bringing a sense of adventure and excitement to family gatherings.

James leaves behind a loving family who will cherish his memory forever. He is survived by his mother, Ana Luna, as well as his brothers, Gregory and Vernon Luna. His children, Joshua, Laurissa, and his granddaughter Selene Luna, will forever carry his legacy in their hearts. Excitingly, the family is looking forward to welcoming another grandson soon, ensuring that James’s spirit will continue to live on through the generations.  He also leaves his beloved Blanca Bundick.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gregorio Luna, who has welcomed him with open arms in eternal rest.

His life will be honored in a series of services at Funeraria Luz De Paz located in Bridgeport, CT. There will be viewings on Friday, December 19 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Saturday, December 20 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A burial service will take place on December 20 at Park Cemetery Association, starting at 11:30 AM.

James Luna’s passing marks a profound loss for all who had the privilege to know him. His kindness, laughter, and love will be sorely missed, but his memory will forever resonate in the hearts of his family and friends.
