Jorge dedicated himself as a machinist in the manufacturing industry, known for his diligence and unwavering work ethic. Jorge was a man defined by warmth and friendliness—a fun and playful soul with a positive attitude that brightened even the darkest days. His generosity was boundless, always willing to extend a helping hand to those in need.
Family held a sacred place in Jorge’s heart. As a loving father, he poured his love into his sons, Jorge Lopez and Andy Lopez, nurturing them with tenderness and support. At his side was his devoted wife, Ruth Lopez, whose love and partnership endured through life’s many seasons. He also cherished the presence of his granddaughter, Jai’lani Lopez-Williams, whose laughter brought him immense joy. Close family ties extended to his sister, Danilia Lopez-Romero, sharing a bond of love and memories that will forever be treasured.
Jorge’s passions breathed life into his days. An avid fisherman, he found peace and contentment by the water, where he could embrace nature’s quiet beauty. His enthusiasm for soccer was infectious, and he was a devoted fan of the Olimpia soccer team from Honduras, a connection to his homeland that he carried proudly.
The community and family will come together to honor Jorge’s memory with a viewing at Funeraria Luz De Paz, located at 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT. The viewings will be held on April 15 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and again on April 16 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Following these moments of reflection, Jorge will be laid to rest at Mt. Grove Easton Cemetery, 100 Harvester Rd, Easton, CT, with the burial service beginning at 11:30 AM on April 16.
