In Loving Memory of
Jorge L. Negrón
April 28, 1958 – June 29, 2025
Jorge L. Negrón, 67, of Bridgeport, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2025, at St. Vincent’s Medical Center, surrounded by his loved ones. Born on April 28, 1958, in Manatí, Puerto Rico, Jorge brought joy, rhythm, and warmth to all who were blessed to know him.
A proud husband, Jorge shared his life with his beloved wife, Mercedes Negrón. Though he had no biological children, Jorge’s heart knew no such boundaries—he loved and raised his stepdaughters Ileana Maldonado, Evelis Maldonado, and Caroline Bou as his own. He cherished his role as a grandfather, joyfully spoiling his eleven grandchildren with endless affection and care.
Jorge lived life to the beat of salsa music, dancing with a smile that lit up any room. He was a man who worked tirelessly, yet always found time to enjoy the simple pleasures—whether it was a peaceful day at the beach, being surrounded by nature, or sharing a quiet moment with family. His calm demeanor, genuine joy, and gentle spirit made him beloved by all who crossed his path.
He is also survived by his sister, Carmen Y. Negrón, who, like many, will forever hold his memory close.
Jorge’s legacy lives on through the love he gave, the laughter he inspired, and the music he danced to. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and always celebrated.
