El velorio se llevará a cabo en la Funeraria Luz De Paz en Bridgeport, Connecticut, el 22 de febrero de 2026, de 6:00 p.m. a 9:00 p.m., y el 23 de febrero de 2026, de 10:45 a.m. a 11:45 a.m. Posteriormente, se celebrará una misa en la Iglesia Católica Romana St. Mary’s a las 12:00 p.m., seguida del sepelio en el Cementerio Mt. Grove a las 1:30 p.m.

Jose Cesar Zhispon Tenecela, a dedicated master construction worker, passed away on February 12, 2026, in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Born on February 17, 2026, in Cuenca, Ecuador, Jose exemplified the values of hard work and perseverance throughout his life.

Known for his brave spirit and serious demeanor, Jose was a man who preferred solitude, often finding peace and enjoyment in the simple pleasures of life. He cherished moments spent going to the park, savoring his mornings with a cup of coffee, and delighting in hot weather. A lover of sports, he enjoyed playing soccer and volleyball in his leisure time, and he had a fondness for animals, particularly cats and dogs.

Jose is survived by his children: Juan Carlos, Blanca, Jorge, Claudio, Edgar, Julia, and Erika; as well as his eighteen grandchildren, who brought him immense joy and pride. He is also remembered by his siblings: Guadalupe, Miguel, Victor, and Carmen.

Jose was preceded in death by his beloved wife Rosa, his parents, Jose Manuel Zhispon and Maria Griselda Tenecela, and a brother, Gregorio.

A viewing will be held at Funeraria Luz De Paz in Bridgeport, Connecticut, on February 22, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on February 23, 2026, from 10:45 AM to 11:45 AM. Following the viewings, a Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church at 12:00 PM, followed by a burial at Mt. Grove Cemetery at 1:30 PM.

Jose Cesar Zhispon Tenecela will be remembered for his hard work, his love for his family, and his passion for life.
