Josef Arreaga, age 26, of Milford, formerly of Naugatuck, passed away unexpectedly on the 30th of December in the comfort of his home. He was the son of Jennifer Ocasio, Mike Lavelanet, and Jose Arreaga.
Josef graduated from Naugatuck High School, NVCC and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army. He loved the outdoors; whether hiking, snowboarding or exploring the world. He had a fascination for anything that was fast; cars, bikes and girls. He’s been a daredevil since we can remember, always keeping his mother on her toes. His other passion was music which he incorporated in each part and moment of his life. There was never, ever a dull moment with Joe. He made an impact on everyone who crossed his path.
In addition to his parents, Josef leaves behind his siblings, Jayla Piazza, Sandralee and Leesandra Arreaga; stepsiblings, Michela and Montel; grandmothers Denise Cavaliere and Emerita Lopez; as well as a host of relatives and friends who will miss him.
He was predeceased by his grandfathers; Raymond Ocasio and Antonio Mattei, both of Bridgeport, as well as retired Military Working Dog Senna.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honor of Josef to: Missionk9rescue.org who has provided a tremendous amount of support to and for Senna during her retirement.
